The increase in quality and easy access to justice dispensation in Ogun State has been attributed to the synergy between the Executive arm of government and the State Chapter, Nigeria Bar Association.
The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Olumide Ayeni, made this known while playing host to Chairman and representatives of the Association in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Ayeni said the success recorded in the justice sector would not have been possible without the cooperation and support of all stakeholders involved in the administration of justice in the State.
He added that the Ministry of Justice was committed to ensuring improved welfare of its Officers, as this would enhance their performance, the domestication of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Arbitration law of 2017, amongst other laws and legislations.
Speaking on behalf of the State Chapter of the Association, the Chairman, Mr. Olu-Alade Emmanuel lauded the Attorney General’s efforts towards improved welfare for Law Officers in the State, the payment of non-regular allowances through an Executive Order, the implementation of various laws amongst others, assuring that the Bar in the State would continue to cooperate with government in speedy justice dispensation.
Highlight of the visit was a tour to the on-going construction of judiciary complex, the proposed building for the Court of Appeal and National Industrial Court.
