A Presidential Aspirant under the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Olufemi Ajadi, has shelved his ambition.
Ajadi made this known during a press conference at the NUJ secretariat, Okelewo, Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.
He said he withdrew from the 2023 race, to support the former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, who is also nursing a presidential ambition.
He disclosed that he stepped down to be the running mate of Kwakwanso.
Ajadi noted this was done in the interest of the party and the nation, saying, Senator Kwakwanso was a great Nigerian, an accomplished politician and administrator who would lift the country.
He explained, that the missing link in Government was selfless, sincere, and servant-based leadership, guided by the highest sense of equity and fairness, adding that, was what NNPP has come to offer.
He reiterated that, Nigeria is a country that God had blessed, but look around you today, you would agree with me that things are not working well.
The business mogul added that, there was hunger in the land, despite Nigeria having arable land and varieties of foods and crops.
The former NNDP Presidential aspirant reconfirmed that, children pass out of school and there were no jobs.
He added that, is it a wonder that, there were crimes everywhere, roads were in terrible condition, poor public water supply, no electricity and all the basic necessities of life, but we have a government, that has billions of naira in cash and assets.
