The Septuagenarian was described as a man of integrity whose excellence achievements cannot not be bottled from the records of great men in Ogun State.
Speaking at the occasion , Prof.Bashir Babatunde Oderinde, one of the inner circle friends of the Celebrant in his charge said repentance was the first step on the path of redemption .
He explained that repentance is a way of feeling remorse for doing wrong or sinning. He said that repenting from one’s misdeeds helps to be more closer to God.
He added that to follow through repentance, one should be able to learn how to clear conscience, ready to forgive and forget others of their trespasses, especially in this period of Ramadan and thereafter.
Prof. Oderinde however urged the Septuagenarian and people the people at the ceremony to learn how to say Anstagafirulah ( Seeking God’s forgiveness ) at all times after solat (Prayer) because no one knows the actual time one sin and for sin to be completely forgiven by God, sober reflection must be attached .
He urged the people at the occasion to repent of their misconducts and turn to Almighty Allah so as to be granted Aljanah fredaus and good rewards from him.
Chief Lai Labode in his vote of thanks appreciated Almighty Allah for adding another year to his age which he promised not to take for granted. He also thanked everyone present at the occasion.
