The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland today extolled the roles being played by the Abeokuta Sports Club, in fostering national integration and unity.
Receiving the Abeokuta Sports Club entourage, which had come to bring covid-19 relief materials to the Alake for onward delivery to the vulnerable and the needy in Abeokuta, the Alake appreciated the Club for hearkening to his clarion call in feeding the masses during this hard time.
The Alake, in his message to the Club’s Executive Members led by its President, Deacon Bolarinwa, delivered by the Aare Baaroyin, Chief Layi Labode, stated that, the Club had been living up to its expectations as a promoter of healthy living and unity in diversity.
The Alake thanked the current leadership of the Club for joining in crusade to give succour to the vulnerable during the ongoing lockdown occasiond by COVID19.
Earlier in his address the President, Deacon Bolarinwa Atilade, appreciated the Alake for his humanitarian and altruistic Community leadership, not only in Egbaland, and Ogun State, but across the entire nation.
President Atilade Bolarinwa promised that the Club would sustain its responsibilities and relevance in Ogun State and Nigeria.
The Abeokuta Sports Club entourage included, the President, Deacon Atilade Bolarinwa, the Vice President, Dr. Dayo Akibo, Mr Tola Odusote (General Secretary), Mr Yemi Oyebefun (Assistant General Secretary), Hon. Adeleye Oladapo (Social/Publicity Secretary), Mr Lookman Akinlade (Maintenance Secretary), Mr Sola Egbesola (Treasurer), Com. Ayo Adelugba (Welfare Secretary), and Mr Gbenga Sogunle (Sports Director).
