Abiodun Seeks Co-operation Between Residents And Traditional institutions


The Governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun, has urged residents to have a cordial relationship with the traditional institution as he stated the fact that such will bring about the proper development and advancement of the state.

Dapo Abiodun, represented by the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, made it known, while speaking at the installation and presentation of Staff of Office to the first Otufesojoye of Irete in the Odogbolu Local Government Area, Oba (Surv.) Ganiyu Awokoya-Yesufu, that a proper relationship between the residents and the monarchs will accelerate the development in all the spheres of the state.

“As a peaceful and noble community, all hands must be on deck to pave way for a new, speedy and sustainable development in all sectors of the traditional, social and economic spheres, to complement the government’s effort”, Afolabi Afuape added.

Oba Awokoya-Yesufu; Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Adetona, represented by the Dagburewe of Idowa, Oba Yinusa Adekoya and the Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government, Hon. Shuaib Ladejobi are in attendance.

In addition, Hon. Shuaib Ladejobi declared that his administration will always support traditional rulers for the overall progress of the council area and also Oba Awokoya-Yesufu, pledged his readiness to develop the community and Ogun State at large, he prayed for continued growth, development, justice, as well as peace in Irete.
