The newly appointed Zonal Area Commander, Eastern Ports Command, AIG Abdulmajid Ali has warned criminals in the eastern area sea ports to steer clear of government property and private businesses as the command will not tolerate any act of criminality, either piracy or robbery or crimes of any kind at the sea ports area henceforth.

AIG Ali gave the warning penultimate week when he visited the General Officer Commanding, 6 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Jamil Sarham and the Commander NNS Pathfinder of the Nigerian Navy, Commodore SJ Bura at their base respectively.

AIG Ali said as part of efforts to boost the core values of community policing and strengthen the synergy among security agencies, the command would continue to make the Nigerian economy viable through secured ports.

He said the Eastern Ports Command will continue to achieve effective policing via multi agency collaboration at the ports under his command.

AIG Ali who was recently appointed as the new Zonal Area Commander of the Eastern Sea Ports by IGP Ibrahim Idris reiterated his resolve to tackle sea pirates and robbers.

In their respective responses, the military commanders appreciated the police boss for creating time to visit and introduce inter-agencies evaluation and solidification of cross-fertilised ideas towards adequate security of our nation.

The GOC and NNS Pathfinder Commander however assured reciprocity of the AIG Abdulmajid Ali’s hand of love and professionalism in policing the ports to bring back lives into ports economic drive of the Federal government of Nigeria.
