The Allied People’s Movement, APM Gubernatorial Candidate, Honorable Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade has promised the people of Ogun State, especially those in Ogun Central Senatorial District that his government would be a continuity of Amosun’s legacies.
Honorable Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade made the promise at the Ake Palace, Abeokuta while speaking during the courtesy visit at the Alake, Egba Monarchs and Traditional Chiefs.
The APM governorship candidate told the Alake and his chiefs that he had been very closely to Senator Ibikunle Amosun as an Adviser in Revenue Generation as well as in other areas of government activities.
He disclosed that during his mentoring by Senator Ibikunle Amosun, he became very much aware, as well as fell in love with the spirit and sense of mission of Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
He re-assured the Egbas in the Ogun Central Senatorial District, that Senetor Ibikunle Amosun’s legacies, as well as his future projections for Ogun State and Egba areas, would also be in the front burner of his administration.
Speaking earlier, Director-General of the Triple AAA Campaign Organization, Chief Sarafa Tunji Ishola, told the Alake that the choice of Akinlade as a governorship candidate, was the outcome of a consensus of the APC leadership from all sections of Ogun State.
Chief Tunji Ishola disclosed further that Honorable Akinlade was an experienced man who had been part of the success story of Amosun’s Mission to Rebuild Ogun State.
Chief Ishola agreed that the people of Ogun Central Senatorial District would be the greatest beneficiaries of Akinlade’s Government of Continuity and stability, if supported and voted him into power in 2019 gubernatorial election.
In his response, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, said that he was impressed by the submission of the APM governorship candidate.
Oba Gbadebo added that people would always benefit from governance if political leaders and administrators sustained a sense of continuity, thereby doing a way with the culture of abandoned projects that are now littering many sites in the country.
The Alake disclosed that the Egbas had always been a very good host, friendly and accommodating with Abeokuta as a State Capital for the past 43 years, adding that they would continue to be so for centuries to come.
Oba Gbadebo pointed out that any developmental projects sited in Abeokuta and environs were not for the Egbas alone, but for all Ogun citizens and residents.
He commended Senators Ibikunle Amosun government for even development for all parts of Ogun State, adding that a leader that kept promises would always be trusted.
He thanked the APM Gubernatorial candidate, praying that God Almighty would strengthen his resolve and projections in becoming the next governor of the State, urging him to work hard to achieve success.
Members of the Egba Traditional Council, and Chieftains of APM were present at the occasion.
