The Alake and Paramount Ruler of the, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, has advised those seeking political offices, to first know and understand their people first before seeking to represent them at any level.
The Alake gave the advice while receiving in audience Honorable (Engineer) Aminu at the Ake Palace last weekend.
Oba Adedotun Gbadebo warned that it was not enough to have wishful thinking and money as a yardstick to lead Egba or Ogun State people.

Rather, full identification with the growth and development of their communities mattered a lot.
The Alake told Engineer Aminu to continue to be close to his people as he was said to have been doing.
Oba Adedotun Gbadebo prayed that the Almighty God would answer his prayers in his bid to represent Abeokuta North, Odeda, Obafemi-Owode Federal Constituency.
Earlier, the House of Representative Aspirant, Honorable (Engineer) Adewale Aminu had told the Alake that he had come to receive the Egba Monarch’s blessings for his intention adding that he had been living among his people in Ajura and parts of the areas he sought to represent.
Engineer Aminu disclosed that he had been actively involved physically and financially in market, water and other developmental projects in the area adding that he was seeking his people’s mandate to invigorating what he had been doing.
He commended the Alake for his positive leadership of the Egba Nation which he said had impacted on the general happiness of the Egba.
Engineer Aminu also said that, he believed and fully supported Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s MITROS Programme for Ogun State, promising that such would be the hallmark of his representation of his people.
Egba Chiefs present at the occasion included Baagbimo Akanni Akinwale, Bantun Kehinde Sofenwa, Bobagbero Lanre Adebo and Aare Baaroyin Layi Labode.
