The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo has given succour to a widower, Olabode Ezekiel Adeyemi, whose wife died during caeserian operation while delivering a set of triplets.

Narrating his ordeal to the Alake, on 31st May 2022, Mr. Olabode Ezekiel Adeyemi who is a vulcanizer disclosed to the Alake that the incident occurred at the State hospital, Ijaye, Abeokuta.

The widower who lives at the Olomore Housing Estate also told the Alake that he and his late wife have had 2 boys before the birth of the triplets some few days ago.

He therefore pleaded with the Egba Paramount Ruler to come to his rescue especially that, he was economically incapable to take care of the motherless 5 children.

In his response Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, who had gone through the medical records of the new born babies, expressed deep sympathy with the bereaved vulcanizer urging him to take heart, adding that the demise of his wife would not be the end of the road for him and his children especially the neonates .

The Alake told him that, the children would be getting stipends from the Ake Palace on regular basis.

As an immediate support, Oba Gbadebo gave the widower and his children a sum of one hundred thousand Naira and two bags of rice, adding that, he would connect the motherless children to some Egba children Non Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) which would supply the family with children foods and clothes.
