ABEOKUTA- Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, has expressed worry that Nigerian Navy Secondary School, founded in 1991, was still on Temporary Site.
The Alake, who made his view known in Abeokuta today while receiving in audience the new Commandant of the 28/year old Military Secondary School, Commander Dauda Onabunme.
The Alake therefore called on the new Commandant and Naval Authorities to ask for Permanent Site for the Nigerian Navy School, Abeokuta.
The Alake opined that the 28-year-old Secondary School could not be having the best deal while operating on a temporary site for almost three decades.
Oba Adedotun Gbadebo noted that the school would be losing a lot of infrastructure because of the transient nature of the operation site.
The Alake urged the new Commandant to work closely with the Ogun State Government with a view to moving to a permanent place where growth and development would be rapid.
Oba Adedotun Gbadebo disclosed to Commandant Isa , Egbas were very friendly and accommodating people and he would enjoy them.
Earlier in his speech, the new Commandant of the Navy Command Secondary School, Abeokuta, Dauda Onabume Isa, disclosed that he reported in Abeokuta few weeks ago and was in the Ake Palace to pay a courtesy visit to the Alake for his support since foundation in 1991.
Commandant Onabume noted that Alake’s positive support had made Egbaland a very conducive atmosphere for the School.
He assured the Alake that he would work hard in collaboration with Ogun State Government to secure a Permanent Site for the School.
He enjoined the Alake as the father and Patron of the School to continue his long-standing support.
Members of the New Commandant included Commandant Otokiti, Commander AA. Yabo and Commandant D O. Isa.
