The Alfa Tafsir of Egbaland, Sheikh Taofeek Amolegbe, has described the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, as the hope for hopeless people.
Sheikh Amolegbe, who was preaching at Thanksgiving Service for the 15th Coronation Anniversary of the Alake, recalled how Oba Gbadebo, gave palliatives to many needy and and vulnerable almost throughout the critical period of the pandemic.
The Alfa Tafsir argued that the pedigree of Oba Gbadebo was clearly that of sustainable good community leadership, compassionate administration.
In his welcome address, the BabaAdeen of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta, Ambassador Sharafa Tunji Ishola, said that Oba Adedotun Gbadebo had been consistent in his leadership of the Egba Nation, to the extent that the Egba Apex Monarch was being welcomed in every part of the Egba Nation.
The Egba Chief Imam Sheikh Saadallah Bamigbola disclosed that the Egba Muslim Community would sustain their fervent prayers for the Alake, Egbaland and Nigeria as a whole.
In his response, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo appreciated Egba Muslims leadership for always praying for him and Egbaland as a whole.
Oba Gbadebo said it was the prayers of the Muslim Community and others had been ensuring peace and stability in Egbaland.
He therefore urged them to sustain their good works for the mutual benefits of everyone.
Muslim Leaders present at the occasion included Otun Asubiaro, Seriki Lateef Abiola, Bada Sheriff Ogunrinde, Bashorun Sakiru Akingbade, Ogboye Muyideen Adekunle and Alafin Musbau Babarinsa,
Egba High Chiefs that accompanied the Alake to Special Jumat Service included Balogun Sikirullah Atobatele, Seriki Tosin Fadare, Aare Ganiu Babayeju, Asiwaju Maxwell Ayinla, Aro-Egba Yinka Kufiile and Baaroyin Layi Labode.
