His Majesty, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, has been inundated with inquiries as to what transpired at Ake Palace and Fake News of Prerogative
The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, His Majesty, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, CFR, Okukenu IV, has noted with utmost sympathy and heart felt compassion, the excruciating social economic situation the people are going through, especially during the ongoing Lockdown, occasioned by Corona Virus.
Oba Adedotun Gbadebo realises the sudden downturn in feeding capacity of an average family and identifies with the generality of the Egbas in this hour of ” lack and want” particularly those earning daily incomes.
The Alake, altruistically, has been mobilising Egba Community Leaders, as a matter of brotherhood, to take care of their immediate communities in terms of relief materials to assuage their sufferings.
He has been encouraging the Egba Nation to simultaneously kill Corona Virus alongside “Hunger Virus.”
The Egba Paramount Monarch is also happy to note with satisfaction, that, the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and His Brother Egba Traditional Rulers, the Osile Oke Ona Egba, the Agura of Gbagura and the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, have actively been making palliatives available to our people in Egbaland and other places.
Oba Gbadebo appreciates Corporate Bodies, Tertiary Institutions, Egba Clubs, and Individuals who have been responding to his clarion call and living up to their social responsibilities of sending succors to the masses.
Abeokuta Club was one of those that touched the lives of the needy last week Friday, in all the four Sections of Egbaland with deliveries of foodstuffs packages.
His Majesty, the Alake was very impressed by the humanitarian gesture of the Egba Cultural Flagship Club and supported the Club’s efforts with more relief materials, which were distributed for over three hours.
At the end of the exercise, many other people, who were informed through social media, came to the Palace to have theirs.
His Majesty Oba Adedotun Gbadebo addressed the crowd on all the efforts the Ogun State Government, Brother Egba Obas, Establishments, Individuals and Egba Clubs, especially Abeokuta Club, had been making to make life easier. They were satisfied and left the Ake Palace orderly and peacefully.
His Majesty, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, was satisfied with the mien and conduct of the people that came to ask for palliatives, and hereby confirms and reaffirms that there was total absence of chaos, confusion or conflict. In fact the atmosphere was friendly in spite of the crowd.
His Majesty appeals to Egba patriots to support the Government directives during the lockdown and while calling on Egba Community Leaders and other Organizations to give more reliefs.
He concluded that Egbas’ interest and welfare shall continue to be the Cornerstone of his Paramount Leadership of Egbaland.
