The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo has ordered that all Egba markets must abide by the government’s health directives in order to avoid the spread of the deadly Coronavirus disease.
The order was announced in a letter to the new Iyaloja of Egbaland, Chief (Mrs) Kemi Oloyede, congratulating her on her successful installation yesterday.
“We seize this opportunity to once again congratulate you as the new Iyaloja of Egbaland. We want to place on record that the exercise was a most successful installation. We are fully satisfied that, you and your team, are, as usual, fully in charge and control of all activities in Egba Markets, including both economic and health.”
“With the above at the back of our mind, we wish to ask you and your lieutenants, to put in place, machinery that would ensure the health of all stakeholders in our markets in Egbaland, by fully and consistently observing all the Government Directives on COVID 19 Safety Protocols.”
“As we are all aware, these include, Using Face Masks, especially In Crowded Places Like Markets, Washing Our Hands All of The Time, Avoiding Direct and Physical Contacts With Those Transacting Businesses With Us.”
“We also wish to advise that you synergize with the Ogun State and six Local Governments Health Officers and Officials in achieving maximum results in COVID 19 Health Protocols Compliance for the benefits of our markets operators.”
“We are convinced that, this reminder would invigorate your already resolve to ensure healthy and safe markets operations in Egbaland.”
