The Chancellor of the Alex Ekweme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo, near Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, His Majesty, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, CFR, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, is to preside over the Special Convocation of the Varsity on Tuesday December 15, 2020.
The Special Convocation will come up at the University’s Main Campus at Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo near Abakaliki beginning from 10 o’clock in the morning.
It would be attended by the Visitor to the University, President Muhammadu Buhari and the Minister of Education as well as the Director General, National University Commission and the Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi.

The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, has been Chancellor of the University since it was founded in 2011.
The Alake would be accompanied by some Egba High Chiefs, including Olu Oba Oko, Oba Solaja, Balogun Sikirullah Atobatele, Aro Oluyinka Kufiile, Baagbimo Akanni Akinwale, Bantun Kehinde Sofenwa, Agbaakin Rasheed Raji, Baaroyin Layi Labode, Asiwaju Baamowe Professor Delano Adelekan, Onimo-Ero Tokunbo Odebunmi and Asiwaju Baamofin Sunday Oduntan.
