The Chief Host of the Lisabi Festival and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo has noted with satisfaction that, the Theme of this year’s Lisabi Festival which focused on the development of the youth Vis a Vis economic development of Egbaland, had really addressed the issues, concerning the youth, very adequately
Oba Gbadebo noted that, the contents of the quiz, reflected Egba history and tradition through Information communication and technology (ICT), adding that, this had pleased the Youth in a better knowledgeable position than some years ago when Alake’s contemporaries were in school
The Alake told, all pupils that, they were much privileged to have advancements in various aspects of life, in terms of technology and other infrastructural developments, which would adequately prepare them for a technology today and in the future
He added that, they should not misuse the opportunity and privilege, but transform the world positively with it.
The Egba Apex Monarch appreciated the Chairman of the Occasion, Prince Tunde Akamo, alias, OmoOba Oyekan, and this year’s Lisabi Sponsors.
He also thanked all Egba sons and daughters, who came from America, Canada, Britain, Dubai, and other Countries to attend this year’s Lisabi Festival.
Oba Gbadebo enjoined the students to respect their elders and be an examplary entity to the coming generations
He congratulated the School that came first, urging the ones that couldn’t make it to the first position should try and put more effort next year, advising them to face their studies, in order to triumph in any academic competition they find themselves.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the Occasion, Prince Tunde Akamo, alias, OmoOba Oyekan, congratulated the Organizers of the Youth Competition for taking the generation into reckoning, bearing in mind they are the leaders of tomorrow.
The Chairman was particularly happy that the Theme of this year’s Lisabi Festival, was, “Youth Inclusiveness: An Emerging Reality In Social Economic Development of Egbaland,” was very appropriate and germane to the current situation in the country.
Prince Tunde Akamo noted that the inclusiveness of the youth by the Organizers indicated that, the Committee intended to stem the rising cases of criminal tendencies among them.
Prince Tunde Akamo also commended the School teachers who had worked very hard to qualify their students as among the Best Twelve Finalists.”
