Alake Reconfirms That He is Very Proud Of Customs Officers of Egba Extraction


The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, has reconfirmed that Egba Nation and himself were very proud of Senior Custom officers of Egba extraction

The Alake who was receiving the new Ogun State Assistant Comptroller General, D A Nnadi, said that the Egba Nation was replete of professional, committed and honest, senior retired and serving Custom officers

The Alake agreed with the new Controller of Customs for Ogun State, Mr Nnadi, that the 3 former Senior officers of the Customs present at the Ake Palace, and others were most exemplary and iconic paramilitary and Senior Custom officers.

They included Chief Rasheed Owolabi Taiwo, Assistant Comptroller General,
Oba Femi Taylor – the Olu of Kobape, and the Agura of Gbagura, Oba Saburee Babajide Bakre, who according to the Monarch left enviable records of meritorious service to the Customs as well as the Nigerian Nation.

Oba Adedotun Gbadebo said he was very happy and excited that the prayers he made on behalf of the new Controller of Customs in Ogun State, Mr Nnadi, were fully answered by God, adding that in addition to his prayer, the new Controller had also been working dedicatedly and professionally, all adding up to God’s answering his royal prayer that he would be promoted to a higher rank.

The Paramount Ruler of Egbaland said that he was not surprised that the three Egb retired Senior Custom officers had either become Traditional Rulers, or Egba High Chiefs, adding that all of them had met the criteria for becoming Egba High ranking Community leaders in their own rights.
