The Emir of Kano, His Eminence, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero is to pay a courtesy visit to the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, Okukenu IV, at the Ake Palace on Tuesday, 1st of December 2020.
Aminu Ado Bayero is the 15th Emir of Kano from the Fulani Sullubawa clan.
He ascended the throne on 9 March 2020, following the deposition of his nephew, Muhammad Sanusi II, by Governor (Dr.) Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
Newsflagship Online recalled that Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, who replaced his deposed nephew Muhammad Lamido Sanusi II, on 9th March 2020, was scheduled to pay his first official visit to the Southwest, on Wednesday, October 21st, beginning with the Apex Monarch of Egbaland, the Alake.
However, the visit was suspended until this recent development, due to the “EndSARS” protests that took place across the country.
This would be the first time Emir Aminu Ado Bayero would be officially visiting a Paramount Traditional Ruler in Southwest since he assumed office in March this year.
