The new Comptroller of Ogun State, D A Nnadi, has expressed optimum appreciation to the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland for his Royal Prayers and advice for hardwork which had resulted in his ultimate promotion to the new rank of Ogun State Comptroller General.

Mr Dera Nnadi, the new Comptroller made the remarks on Tuesday, at the Ake Palace where he and his former and retired bosses accompanied him to pay a Courtesy visit to the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.

The new Comptroller recalled that he was in Ake Palace as a Junior Officer some years ago when the Egba Apex Ruler advised him to be professional, dedicated, and serve the Federal Republic of Nigeria, diligently, and also prayed for him that if he did all these, he would be promoted to higher ranks sooner than later.

Mr Nnadi said that the Alake referenced serving under some retired Customs officers of Egba stock who he said were a pride to the Egba Nation and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He reconfirmed that he believed that Alake’s advice and prayers had worked wonders, adding that he was dedicating his new promotion and post to the Alake and his former bosses, especially those of Egba origin.

He referred to the Onibode of Egbaland, Chief Rasheed O. Taiwo, who he described as totally professional and incorruptible as well as the Olu of Kobape, Oba Femi Taylor, who he also described as dedicated and forthright in delivery of services to the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Customs Service.

He told the Alake and Egba Chiefs that he was not surprised but very happy that these two former bosses, alongside with his friend and former Senior Customs Officer, Oba Saburee had attained greater heights in their service to their immediate communities, the Nigerian Nation, and humanity in general.
