A foremost ICT Guru, Insurance Magnate and former Ambassador Plenipotentiary, Chief Olatoye Okanlawon, has been installed the Bobaguwa of Egbaland.
He succeeds Chief Olabode Mustapha, the current Osi of Egbaland, who had earlier succeed MKO Abiola, the first Bobaguwa of Egbaland.
The spouse of Chief Okanlawon, Pastor Abiodun, was also installed the Erelu Bobaguwa Egba.
Conferring the title on Chief Okanlawon, on Friday, April 2022, at the Ake Palace, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo told the Okanlawons that, they had been specially considered for the revered and coverted titles because of their commitment and quality leadership in the immediate and larger Egba Communities.
He noted with satisfaction that, Ambassador Toye Okanlawon was not only an excellent Ambassador, representing his Principals externally anywhere in the world, to the best of his ability and professionalism, he was also one of the best Egba Representations anywhere in the world.
The Egba Apex Monarch implored the man to use his new good Offices to the upliftment of Egbaland, his people and humanity in general.
Oba Gbadebo further urged the new Bobaguwa to doubled his efforts on his good works as he had became a more notable person in Egbaland, at home and in diaspora.
The Monarch also advised him to live up to the good legacies of his predecessors, late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola who was the first Bobaguwa of Egba land and the current Osi of Egbaland, Chief Bode Mustapha, and even go beyond.
Alake reiterated that being installed as Bobaguwa of Egbaland required efforts to do more of good works, adding that, Chief MKO Moshood Kashimawo Abiola who was the first Bobaguwa had laid unforgettable legacy in Egbaland and Nigeria as a whole.
The new Bobaguwa also received special prayers from the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo, Oba Babatunde Ajayi.
