Ogun State Head of Service, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu, has urged Labour leaders to see themselves as partners in progress and always explore dialogue while making their demands from government.
Engr. Bisiriyu stated this while receiving members of Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools, Ogun State Chapter, who were on a courtesy visit to his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
The Head of Service commended the peaceful disposition of the union over the years, urging it to continue supporting various policies and programmes of government, aimed at promoting the education sector.
Engr. Bisiriyu assured the Union of his support to better the lot of teachers in the state whose profession he described as “moulder of our future leaders”.
Also the Chairman of the Union, Comrade Akeem Lasisi, commended the efforts of Senator Ibikunle Amosun led Administration, for consistently allotting over 20 percent of the State’s annual budget to education, saying it has helped in repositioning the sector.
