Anambra Government Closes Down And Withdraws Licences of Private Schools For Not Obeying COVID-19 Protocols

The Anambra State Government has closed and withdrew approval of Royal Ambassador’s Schools in Onitsha, for flouting COVID-19 prevention directives.

Dr Christy Obiano, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic Education, said on Thursday that the closure would serve as a deterrence to others.

According to the Permanent Secretary, the school violated the government’s directives which stipulated that students and pupils remain at home till Feb. 1, in the interest of their safety.
