The Patron of Lisabi Exquisite Ladies Club, Chief Shamusideen Awopeju, the Apagunpote of Egbaland, has said that his roles as Patron included guiding and directing the Group from the sideline, as an Egba High Chief.
Speaking exclusively to the Newsflagship Online Newspaper on Thursday, Chief Samsudeen Awopeju, explained that as an Egba who was very familiar with the areas where the ladies would need to work and achieve the objects of their Group in the development of Egbaland, as well as ensuring that they focused and succeed in their mission.
The Apagunpote of Egbaland further explained that, promotion of culture and traditions alongside economic well being of Egbaland, would be taken seriously by the Club.
Chief Awopeju also stated that he would always be supportive and pay his dues as Patron of the Lisabi Exquisite Ladies Club, having been reassured that the leadership and membership of the Club were focused and believed in the cause of the Egba Nation.
The Apagunpote Egba pointed out that, despite the fact that most of the members of the Club are overseas based, civilisation and modern technology had paved way for anybody to carry out endeavour he wishes to from anywhere around the world.
He disclosed that the Club was prepared to establish a unique presence required for the greater development of the Egba nation.
He also said that the Alake had advised them on how to remain relevant in the cause of Egbaland, adding that the Egba Apex Monarch had assured of his full support of their agenda.
The Patron said that it was now left to the Ladies Club to make the necessary impact.
Chief Awopeju further advised the Club’s executives and members to live up to the expectations of the Alake and the entire Egbaland.
He said, “They are all educated and matured women who had families of their own, they knew what they wanted,” reiterating that he was sure they would do the needful.
