The Gubernatorial Candidate of the Allied People’s Movement, Honorable Akinlade Abdul-kabir had called on the People of Egbaland in the Ogun Central Senatorial District to vote massively for him in other to secure the game they had made during the outgoing period of Governor Amosun.
Addressing the Egba High Chief, comprising the Egba Chief and Chief Heads in Abeokuta today, Honorable Akinlade disclosed that Senator Ibikunle Amosun had already developed a 25years development plan for all sector of Ogun State including Abeokuta, the state capital. Adding that, he was fully prepared for the responsibility of a responsible successor.
The APM Governorship aspirant explains that the long term plan was designed to make Ogun State a sustainable Economy beneficial to both the indigene of Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole.
Honorable Akinlade explains further that Amosun had laid a solid and enjoying Foundation which up to date had been generating between 8 to 10 billion naira internally generated with revenue monthly, adding that in the next 2years the RGR in Ogun State will mark up to 15-18 billion.
Speaking on the reported violence between APM and APC supporter at Ilugun, Abeokuta, and Honorable Akinlade disclosed that the whole map of Amosun and those associate were for total security of lives and property of all residence in Ogun State, which he said had encouraged many investment that were making Ogun State the business destination Nigeria.
He explained further, that this administration if voted into power would continue to secure the state and encourage social and economic development for all citizens.
Speaking earlier, the director general of APM, former Minister of steel development, Honorable Tunji Ishola told the Egba Traditional Chief that each of the 3 Senatorial district had its clear agenda in the forthcoming general election in the Country.
He explained that the Ijebu in the Ogun East said that it’s their turn to run affairs of the State after the Egba had had a stint.
The Ogun West comprising Yewa people rightly felt marginalized because as at Senatorial District, no Yewa Awori had never tested governorship in the past 43 years when the State was created.
He further explained the agenda of the Egba Central Senatorial District was the continuity and non-abandonment of projects being under taken under the governor Ibikunle Amosun Administration.
Adding that, the Egba rightly had the right to have interest on what would beneficial to them.
Honorable Tunji Ishola also disclosed that senator Ibikunle Amosun impeccable trust and confident on Akinlade competent to sustained the sound and enduring foundation that had been laid.
The director general of the Allied Peoples Movement campaign organization therefore told the Egba chief and community leader that it was in their best interest.
The Baloro of Egbaland and Osi of Owu kingdom, chief Adeniyi Adegbenro told the campaign team that the Egba nation admired what Amosun had been doing for the past seven and half years to developed every part of Ogun State.
Adding that, the Egba people were very proud of him and would support any program that would sustain and even improve on his developmental program of Egbaland and other part of Ogun State.
Chief Niyi Adegbenro, however expressed concern over the violent incident that took place between the two political parties at Mokola area of the Abeokuta metropolis, last Thursday.
In his appreciation speech to the visitors, the Balogun of Egbaland, Sikirullahi Atobatele told Honourable Akinlade and his campaign team that the Egba nation was for the continuity of Amosun legacy and we therefore support anyone that would support what Amosun had done for Egbaland.
High Chief Atobatele disclosed that many group had been coming to the core Egba traditional chiefs with beautiful program if voting them into power.
He however said that Egba had not decided on any one but we will soon meet and consider all candidate proposal to choose who will not abandon what governor Ibikunle Amosun Administration had done.
