As part of the conferment of Chief Akeem Olabode Mustapha, on Saturday 13 March, 2021, as the Osi of Egbaland, the new Chief formally paid courtesy visits to the the Egba Sections’ Monarchs yesterday, Thursday, 11 March, 2021, in Abeokuta.
The Egba Obas, visited by the Osi, were the Oshile Oke-Ona Egba, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso; the Agura of Gbagura, Oba Saburee Bakre; and the Olowu of Owu, Oba Adegboyega Dosunmu.
The Osi, Chief Olabode Mustapha, was accompanied by members of the Egba Chieftaincy Committee, who formally introduced the new High Chief to the Egba Sections’ Monarchs.
A senior member of Egba Chieftaincy Committee, High Chief Akanni Akinwale, told Newsflagship, that the Osile, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso and the Agura, Oba Saburee Bakre, expressed joy at what they described as an innovation.
Chief Akanni Akinwale disclosed that the Monarchs reconfirmed their unalloyed acceptance of the new Osi and support for the Egba Traditional Council.
Meanwhile Chief Akinwale told Newsflagship that impeccable arrangements had been put in place for the ceremony to mark the Traditional Installation of the New Osi of Egbaland at the Ake Palace, on Saturday, 13 March, 2021, beginning from 10am.
He disclosed that the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, would be Special Guest of Honour at occasion, which would be presided over by the Egba Grand Monarch, His Majesty, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo.
