ABEOKUTA – Gbolahan Macjob, a House of Representatives aspirant of Young Democratic Party, has called on Muslims faithfuls in Ogun State, especially in Abeokuta South local government to pray for peace and tranquility in the state.
Gbolahan said, as the state is itching towards another elections in 2019, it is imperative to commit the gladiators and the electorate into the hands of God.
He gave the charge on Monday while hosting Nigerian bloggers in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital.
While wishing Muslims a joyous Eid-el-Kabir, he enjoined them to imbibe the teachings and lessons of the occasion as typified by Prophet Ibrahim to symbolize the festivity.
“I congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters for successfully observing the last Ramadan fast, and hope the lessons in the virtues of love, tolerance, unity, patriotism and self-sacrifice have been learnt”
“In the last one month, I observed the piety and the spirit of giving associated with the month, and therefore urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to remain their brother’s keeper till eternity so as to make the society better for it.
Gbolahan, a former protocol officer in Ogun State to Governors Kayode Olofinmoyin, Chief Olusegun Osoba and Otunba Gbenga Daniel said “I want to Represent the people of Abeokuta South at the federal constituency, so to transform and make our youths relevant. I call on every sons and daughters of Abeokuta South to support me for real change.”
