The Balogun of Ijaye and Aare Egba, High Chief Ganiyu Babayeju, has warned Ijaye Market men and women to stop doing business on the high ways and motor roads in Ijaye Community.
Chief Ganiyu Babayeju gave the warning on Wednesday14 of March, 2018 at an interactive meeting held between Ijaye Traditional Chief and various trade groups in the market.
He said that the community had provided a functional market at Gbangba, Ijaye which had enough space for everyone including trade group.
He warned that law enforcement agencies might be invited to enforce moving to Gbangba Market
The Iyaloja Ijaye, Chief Mrs. Monsura Akanbi, disclosed that the Community would no longer tolerate any form of disobedient to safety roads from any individual or group traders.
Alhaja Akanbi records that all effort to make some trader groups to complier with normal economic and safety guidelines for operating in the market were being flouted especially by those at Oja Aaro at Ijaye junction
She applied to shops owners who have allowing some traders to display their wares in front of their shops to cooperate with the community by disallowing them.
Among other Ijaye Traditional Chiefs present at the meeting were the Otun Balogun Olootu; Layi Labode, Osi Balogun; Haj M. olaitan, Ekerin Balogun; Haj Babalola Sagua; Chief Olajide Y A, Dagunja, Hon. Abolade; The Amona, Haj A. Labode; The Babalaje, Chief Adeagbo M and The Asipa, Chief Buhari Sakiru.
