Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has charged members of the newly constituted Executive Council in the State to be role models, as they brace up to the challenges of their new offices and not be found wanting  as public officials.

Prince Abiodun gave the charge at an orientation programme, organised by the State Government for Commissioners and Special Advisers in Abeokuta, saying their conduct and utterances would now be thoroughly scrutinised by the public, urging them to partner with civil servants in anchoring the bureaucratic structures required to deliver on programmes and policies of his administration.

“You are now public Officers and have joined the league of politically exposed people; your conduct, utterances and public personality will now come under intense public scrutiny, so, be guided accordingly. You will find in the public Servants, the most dedicated, efficient and committed professionals’’, he noted.

The Governor noted that the stage was set to build the State together with the combination of political appointees, who were experts in their professions and the public servants that rank top in the country, promising to provide the right leadership.

“This administration is unarguably the most star studded cabinet in the country, various expertise, different backgrounds but complementary flavors have been brought together. As the captain of this team, I want to assure you that I will provide the right leadership for you to blossom as individual stars and for our team to record achievements that are greater than the sum of individual accomplishment”, he said.

The helmsman added that each of the cabinet members were chosen based on their track records and the commitment to contribute immensely to building the future of the State, adding that they must all come on board with a mindset to work as a team that would generate a new and higher momentum.

The orientation programme had retired Heads of Service, Chief Dipo Odulate, Mrs. Modupe Adekunle and the Director, Code of Conduct Bureau in the State, Mr. Segun Rabiu, as resource persons.
