The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, said he suspected that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) colluded with the All Progressive Congress to tamper with the elections process.
Ortom made the allegation on Saturday in Makurdi, in exclusive interview with Channels Television..
Governor Ortom argued that the INEC could not just simply justify that for 3 years, it failed to successfully plan a credible and successful election. He wondered why it took the INEC chairman the last hour to complain about supply problems.
According to the governor, the electoral body proportedly acted on a petition it allegedly received, stressing that the rescheduling of the elections was done deliberately.
