Bishop Oludaisi Adekunle Commends Members of St’ Mary Anglican Church, Ijaye For Building A New 75 Million Naira Ultra Modern Church Auditorium Without External Help.


The Anglican Diocesan Bishop of Egbaland, Rt. Reverend E. O. Adekunle has commended members of St’ Mary Anglican Church for contributing 75 Million Naira to rebuild the Church from the scratch without any external help.

Rt. Reverend Adekunle made the remark while speaking at the dedication of the newly built auditorium of St’ Mary Anglican Church, at Ijaye, on Friday, 25th of March, 2022.


Speaking further, the Egba Anglican Diocesan Bishop appreciated every member of the church for inputs in the completion of church, noting that it wouldn’t have been possible without their collective impacts.

Also, he specifically appreciated the children of late Chief Isaac Olusanya Babarinsa, who donated all the sitting furniture for the congregation, children of late Chief Adelabu and Fabuyi for the painting of the outer walls, children of late Mrs. Oguntoyinbo for the donation of Golden Chalice and Processional Cross, as well as the family of Late Donald Olugbuo for the donation of Pulpit and Prayer Desk.

Others families thanked by the Bishop included Chief Mrs Dada Ladipo; Chandeliers, Mr. and Mrs. Olanrewaju; Alter Table and Ten Commandment, Mr. Peter Akinbode; Baptismal Font, Chief Mrs. Fafiolu; Belfry, Mrs. Senkale; Musical Keyboard, Chief Majekodunmi and Mr. Oloyede; Interior Painting of the Church among many others.

Also Bishop Oludaisi thanked the Balogun Ijaye and Aare Ona Kakanfo of Egbaland; Chief Ganiyu Babayeju, as well as Balogun Ijaye Christians; Chief Bunmi Fashola for their support towards the Church.
He also recalled the struggle over the piece of land on which the church was built and the role, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo played which brocard a lasting settlement for the Church.
