The Sokoto Police Command, said it had arrested two suspects over the lynching of Deborah Samuel a level two student in the department of Early Childhood Education of Sheu Sagari Sokoto College of Education.
Deborah Samuel was lynched on Thursday, over an alleged accusation of blasphemy against Holy Prophet Muhammad.
The Command Public Relations Officer, Sanusi Abubakahr, disclosed in statement that, two suspects had been arrested and other suspect, caught on camera in a viral video would be promptly arrested.
According to the statement, it was said that, Deborah who was accused of blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad was forcefully removed from the security guard room by the mob, where she was hidden by the school management and lynched to death.
It was also stated that, the ugly event had forced the school to closed down till further notice, adding that men of security had been deployed to the school premises.
