ABUJA – President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday affirmed the candidature of Prince Dapo Abiodun as Ogun State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Dapo Abiodun was led to the Presidential villa by one of the national leaders of APC and a former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba.
Reacting to the president’s endorsement, the Assistant Media and Publicity Director of Dapo Abiodun Campaign Organization (DACO), Emmanuel Ojo said the visit and affirmation “set the records straight and also put things in the right perspective amidst the name dropping by governor Ibikunle Amosun and his co-travelers, who are using the name of our dear President to campaign for candidates of their new party.”
According to Ojo, President Buhari’s endorsement has finally laid to rest, the misleading information and narrative being peddled across the entire state by some anti APC elements in Ogun State.
“Having gotten the nod and endorsement of President Muhammadu Buhari, Prince Dapo Abiodun is now set to flag off his campaign across the nooks and crannies of Ogun State and further propagate his mission and vision to the citizens and residents alike.
“Our desire to make Ogun State greater is very strong and we shall do all that is required to ensure that we secure a landslide victory and achieve this feat.”
