President Muhammadu Buhari has made plans to visit some of the states that had witnessed violence recently to have proper and effective on-site assessment of the current situation.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina made this known in a statement made available to the press.
Mr Adesina disclosed that the President would start his journey with a trip to Taraba State on Monday and subsequently visit Benue, Zamfara, Yobe and Rivers States
Adesina said Buhari would begin his journey with a trip to Taraba State; and he would subsequently visit Benue, Yobe, Zamfara and Rivers states.
The presidential spokesman, however, did not disclose when the trips to the four states would take place.
He also pointed out that the President had been receiving daily briefings and updates about the current situation reports and had been in constant touch with the governors.
Mr Adesina furthermore made a plea on behalf of the President, called on all Nigerians especially those in the affected areas, to cooperate fully with the security agencies to enable them curb the high rate of crimes and bring those responsible to justice and prevent further occurrences.
