CHIEF BODE MUSTAPHA CONFIRMED AS THE OSI OF EGBALAND BY GOVERNMENT

The Ogun State Government has approved the appointment of the new Osi of Egbaland.

The new Osi is Chief Olabode Akeem Mustapha. The Ogun State Government’s approval was conveyed in a letter signed by the Director, Chieftaincy Affairs, Adesoji Adewuyi, on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, and dated 1st of December, 2020.

Newsflagship Online Newspaper further learnt that, the Ogun State Executive Council based its approval of Chief Olabode Mustapha as the Osi of Egbaland, in accordance with Section 23(1) of the Chiefs Law of Ogun State of Nigeria, 2006 with effect from 1st of December, 2020.

The statement further read that the appointment would be published in the Ogun State Government Gazette in due course.

The letter also conveyed Ogun State Government’s hearty congratulations to Chief Olabode Mustapha, as the new Osi Egba, wishing him, good health, long life and many years of service to Egbaland.

The letter was passed on to Chief Olabode Mustapha, through Oba Sabureee Babajide Bakre, the Agura of Gbagura.
