The Egba Muslim Community has installed a new Aare Egba Muslim.
He is Chief Solih Layiwola Olabode, the Aare Baaroyin of Egbaland and Balogun Ijaye Muslims.
Aare Layi Labode was installed on Tuesday, 15th of June, 2021, at Egba Central Mosque, Kobiti, Abeokuta.
The honoured, whose 78th Birthday coincide with the occasion was described as most deserving of the honour by the Egba Muslim Clerics.
In his sermon, the Mufasir of Egbaland, Alhaji Taofeek Amolegbe, said that the new Aare Egba Muslims had lived up to the good legacies of his forefathers and had upheld the good name of the Labode Family.
Ahaji Amolegbe also admonished the new Muslim Chief should continue to be en exemplary leader in all his positions in Egbaland.
Responding, the new Aare Egba Muslims, Aare Solih Layi Labode appreciated all Egba Religious Leaders, Chiefs and dignitaries present for their continued love and support.
Aare Labode further pledged to serve Egbaland with absolute commitment and patriotism.
Among the dignitaries present are the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo represented by the Akingboye of Egbaland, Chief Imams of Owu, Gbagura, and Oke-Ona, Sheikh Lawal – Wakeelul of Yorubaland, among others.
