The 80th Birthday Celebration of Chief (Mrs) Christianah Ayinde on Saturday, August 14, 2021, was witnessed by many dignitaries, families and well wishers of the celebrant at the Providence Event Centre, Abeokuta.
People from all walks of life were at the carnival like occasion, which however was COVID-19 Safety protocols compliant.
Madam Christiana Ayinde, in a special interview with Newsflagship, expressed great joy for adding another year.
She thanked God for preserving her life for the past 80 years, stating that she’s glad people came to celebrate her life instead of her death.
She also thanked God for her children and friends, adding that they had all contributed to her life in one way or the other.
She advised youths of nowadays have the spirit of patience.
She further noted that young people today are always in haste to make money without suffering.
She recalled that when she was a teenager, she didn’t have much clothes, but she endured and became a successful parent.
She added that her late husband also played a great role in her life
She prayed that all her well wishers would experience God’s mercies and blessings.
Also speaking to Newsflagship, Chief Maxwell Ayinla, Asiwaju of Egbaland, appreciated God’s Grace over the life of his sister, Deaconess Christianah Ayinde Akinola nee Oridate for attaining the great age.
Asiwaju Maxwell Ayinla added that it was not easy for a person to attain such great age in Nigeria, stating that it was nothing but the grace of God.
He disclosed that researchers have discovered that Nigerians average lifespan is now 60 years.
Chief Maxwell Ayinla also stated that God had blessed the celebrant with 20 more years more than what researchers had said, with peace and comfort.
He noted that Chief Mrs Ayinde has seven children who were all well to do.
He used her as a point of contact to all that are younger than her, that they all would also grow older in good health and wealth.
He prayed that the celebrant would continue to grow and prosper in God’s Grace.
“I learnt greatly from her. One of the things I learnt about her was that she took care of her children and made sure they were well to do.”
“She taught them in the way of God and ensured that they got quality education.” He added.
“I also emulated her in this regard and I am reaping the fruit of my labour now and I pray that we would all do so for a long time.” He added.
