High Chief Ogo-Oluwa Bankole has joined thousands of worthy sons and daughters to rejoice with Justice Demola Bakre (rtd) as he joined the club of nonagenarians.
In his Birthday greetings and testimonial to Justice Demola Barkre’s exemplary conduct, High Chief Ogo-Oluwa Bankole, the Asiwaju Babalaje of Egbaland, Baba Oba of Gbaguraland, and Gbogbogbo 1 of Ibogun land, described him as a man of impeccable pedigree and honesty.
Chief Bankole, in his goodwill message during a chat with the NewsFlagship revealed that he knew the firm and fair Justice through his uncle, the late Baala Owu, Chief Ranti Olanrewaju, the Chairman/Chief Executive of the All Transport Limited, at Abeokuta Club’s “Under The Appple Tree Section,” in 1985.
“We later became close when I joined the Abeokuta Sports Club as a Lawn Tennis player in 1986.”
“Justice Demola Bakre was then a Director of Pubic Prosecution at the Ministry of Justice alongside being the Chairman of the Ogun State Lawn Tennis Association.”
“I wish to categorically state that Retired Justice ‘Demola Bakre was upright to a fault and I categorically say that he is highly, or perhaps uncomprisingly principled and honest.”
“I learnt a lot from him before and when I later became the Chairman of Ogun State Tennis Association through his recommendation.”
“I proudly recall that it was during my tenure that the Tennis Building at the Abeokuta Sports Club, was named after him as a mark of his well deserved honour for assiduous and public spirited services in sporting.”
