Traditional and community leaders within the Ijebu-Ode/Epe road axis have lauded the reconstruction of the road, describing the move as an avenue to open up economic advantage and create job opportunity for the teaming youth in the area.
Commenting during the flag-off of construction of the road, the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Adetona, represented by the Dagburewe of Idowa, Oba Yinusa Adekoya, said the construction of the road, which had been in deplorable state for over 20 Years, would strengthen economic synergy between Lagos and Ogun, as farmers would be able to move their farm produce to the neighbouring State with ease.
Speaking with newsmen after the flag off, the Chairman, Transition Committee, Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Engr. Olugbenga Olugbile, said the reconstruction would massively boost living standard of the people and improve the ease of doing business with the neighbouring State.

He added that the Local Government on its part has commenced grading of Odoagboju, Itawo, Ereji, and Idale rural roads along the construction axis,
The Chairman, Community Development Association, Federal Housing Estate, Epe road, Hon. Mabinuori Adeleke said the construction would attract more investors to the area, thereby creating more jobs for the youth.
Also speaking, Baale of Idale Community, Mr. Ola Adebanjo described the development as a great relief for the farmers, as they could move their farm produce conveniently to the market at the urban centres, thereby reducing wastages of perishable produce.
