The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and former Governor of Ogun State, who is currently the Senator representing Ogun Central, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, have contributed to the ongoing distribution of COVID-19 food palliative materials at the Ake Palace.
Prof. Osinbajo’s packages had arrived earlier in the week while those of Sen. Amosun came on Friday.

The donations of the Relief Materials, mainly rice, bread and noodles, seemed to coincide with the prayers of the vulnerable and the needy, who had been paying daily visits to the Ake Palace foreground for food palliative but felt that more should be made available to them to celebrate the Sallah after the Ramadan.
In his comments, the Chief Host of the vulnerable and the needy at the Ake Palace, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, thanked both Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Senator Ibikunle Amosun for their gestures of giving back to their communities especially during this current health emergency occasioned by the COVID-19, noting that their donations coincided with the preparation for the Sallah.
Oba Adedotun Gbadebo enjoined the recipients to pray for the country and the latest two donors as well as those who had also been paying their dues since the beginning of the lockdown.
The Alake urged them to celebrate this Sallah in a moderate and sobber mood as demanded by the current situation.
The Bantun Egba, Chief Kehinde Sofenwa and the Baaroyin, Chief Layi Labode, alongside Palace Officials supervised the exercise.
