Covid19 Stops Abeokuta Club’s 2021 President’s Party Earlier Scheduled For This Coming Saturday.
The Annual New Year Family Get Together Party, 2021, of the Egba foremost Cultural Club, the Abeokuta Club, would no longer hold this coming Saturday, 16 January, 2021. No thanks to the ravaging second waive of the pandemic COVID19, which according to the Honorary Secretary of the Club, Chief Sesan Okutoro, had to be avoided and keep members and their families, as well as invited highly placed Nigerian citizens, safe and secure. Chief Sesan Olutori in a statement, explained further that, the decision might be painful, the lives and health of all Nigerians were more important, adding that Abeokuta Club, was always ahead in ensuing sociocultural health and economic wellbeing of its people as well as residents of Egbaland and Ogun State in general. He regretted the inconveniences the sudden postponement might caused members and invited guests adding that a new and safer time for the 2021 President’s Party would be communicated at the appropriate time.
