The people of Dapchi town in Yobe State jubilate over the purposed return of most of the abducted schoolgirls on Wednesday.
According to a news source, it was disclosed that the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, confirmed the released of the Government Girls’ Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State who were abducted by the Boko Haram sect on February 19.
It was disclosed that was heavy security presence in the town, making it difficult to gain access to Dapchi.
It was said that some parents of the missing students confirmed the returned of their abducted children.
However, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Muhammed, had also confirmed the return of ninety-one girls to Dapchi.
According to one of returned abducted girls, said that they were all released expect one girl who had been asked to renounced her religion.
Earlier, President Muhammadu Buhari had visited the school where the girls they were kidnapped last week.
The President during his visit last Wednesday had reassured parents of the abducted schoolgirls that the Federal Government would not rest on its oars, until the girls were safely brought back home.
Buhari, who was accompanied by Governor Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe State, said he had directed full scale aerial surveillance and investigation to ensure that the girls were returned safely.
The President also said government would ensure that the Boko Haram menace would be totally brought to an end in the country.
