The Grand Monarch of Egbaland, Oba Michael Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, has been described a most accomplished Traditional Ruler in Nigeria.
The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun made the observation in his Goodwill Message to the Egba Monarch on his 77th Birthday Anniversary.
Delivering the message on behalf of the Governor, his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Shuaib Salisu, Dapo Abiodun disclosed that, God had answered Alake’s prayers on him and had therefore been fulfilling his promises to Egbaland by continuing with uncompleted projects, yet to be completed by the immediate past administration
According to the Governor, some of these projects, now on going, included Panseke, Adigbe, Kuto Interchange, Fajol, and Isale-Ake-Elite Roads among others.
He commended the Alake for his support for the Government adding that Egbaland, as the host Community, would always enjoy well deserved attention in the scheme of things.
In his remarks while proposing the toast of the Alake before cutting the cake, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Shuaib Salisu, noted that Oba Michael Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, had increased the momentum of growth development in Egbaland since he assume the throne 15 years ago.
The Chief of Staff recalled the undeniable fact, that Egbaland produced many firsts in the Administrative, Professional, Business and Clergy in Nigeria’s history and commended the Alake for his Royal Coordination, Cooperation and Collaboration in ensuring that Egbas were in the forefront.
The Bishop Oludotun Ogunseye of Lagos Anglican Diocese, and the Provost, the Cathedral of St. Peter Ake, Abeokuta, conducted a short Church Service.
The Alake, in his appreciation, thanked Governor Dapo Abiodun for his continuity on the jobs left by last Administration.
Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo also appreciated all Egba Chiefs, and well wishers for their prayers and gifts, adding that he was overwhelmed by the turn out in spite of everything.
