The Egba Apex Imam, Sheikh Saad Bamigbola has extolled Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has been paying his dues and fulfilling his promises to the entire Egba Muslim Community even as he is a Christian
Sheikh Bamigbola made the statement during the 2021 Eid il Kabir prayer session at Oke-Yiddi praying ground, Abeokuta, on Tuesday, 20 July, 2021.
Egba Chief Imam also admonished that all servants of Allah should endeavour to follow Prophet Mohammed’s exemplary life.
He further stated that Allah is ever supreme, adding that all should work and pray with believe that He accept their good works.
Sheikh Bamigbola also said that Ileya day is a very joyous day. He charged that all Muslim brethren should be benevolent and forgiving towards one another.
He further prayed that God would continue to strengthen the Nigerian Government, particularly Ogun State officials and all citizens.
Speaking on behalf of OGSG, Ogun Chief of Staff, Alhaji Schuaib Salisu, appreciated the leadership of the Egba Muslim Community for their steadfastness and continued prayers.
He also admonished that God would take away people’s sorrows as Allah took away Prophet Ibrahim’s sorrow, if one follows the steps as laid down in the Holy Quran.
He added that Prophet Ibarahim is the father of faith, and he should be emulated by all Muslim brethren.
Alh Salisu also charged all Muslims to show love to one another and abide by Covid safety rules.
He further stated that all citizens should go out to vote on Saturday.
He emphasised that it was important for the youths and all eligible citizens to exercise their franchise so as to experience the benefits of true democracy
