The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, has advised officers and men of the Nigerian Police Force not to lobby for promotions and postings.
The Alake who was speaking to members of Course 3, Cadets of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil Kano, noted that lobbying meant that one was asking what rightly doesn’t belong to him and such favour, granted would be disloyalty, disobedience and indiscipline.
Oba Gbadebo reminded the Police Officers, all of who were of Ogun State Origin, that they must make loyalty, hard work, dedication and professional in their chores to earn the respect of the friends of the people.

According to the Egba Monarch, they would surely earn the respect and get to the highest positions of responsibilities, praying that all that would be most successful in their courses

Responding on behalf of colleagues, the most senior of the members of Course 3, Cadets of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil Kano, thanked the Alake for giving them opportunity to visit the Ake Palace which was one of the most Valued, Cultural and Historical Sites, as well as drink from the large well of wisdom of the Kabiyesi. The officers disclosed that those of them from Ogun were in the State gathered themselves together to learn more about their State of origin collectively.
He promised the Alake that they would abide with his words of wisdom and encouragement.
