Ogun State Government has reassured that more companies are bound to open in the State through its revitalized investors friendly reforms on the ease of doing businesses.
The State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who stated this at the grand opening and commissioning of a State of the art corrugations factory in New Makun City, Sagamu, appreciated the company for identifying with the State, urging it to take advantage of the State’s Job Portal to employ its skilled labours.
Governor Abiodun, represented by the Acting Managing Director, Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC), Mrs. Ibiyemi Adesoye, expressed delight at the speedy completion of the project, pledging government’s continued support to investors through adequate provision of security and necessary infrastructure.
The Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Kavine Vaswani, in his remark, said the completion of the project was a demonstration of its commitment and belief in the viability of the State’s economy, as anchored in its Public Private Partnership (PPP) drive for growth and development, saying the company offers great economic potentials in the area of manufacturing.
“The completion of this project is to further demonstrate the group’s commitment and belief in Ogun State economy and Nigeria at large. I must say, there is a lot of potentials for economic growth in Ogun State and that is why we have decided to take this bold initiative by citing the factory in the state, with the help of special partners”, he said.
Vaswani maintained that the factory would create direct and indirect employment of 250 and 300 workers respectively; this according to him would go a long way in reducing the unemployment rate.
