Easter Holidays: FG Declares Friday April 15th and Monday April 18th As Public Holidays.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has decleared Friday 15th and Monday 18th as public holiday for the celebration of Easter.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Interior Ogbeni Raufu Aregbesola in a statement made public by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Shaibu Belgore.

The Minister urged Christians to embrace peace, unity, spirit of togetherness amongstone another.

He added that they should seize the opportunity to pray against insecurity as it was becoming pandemic in the country.


The Minister also gave assurance that the Federal Government would not leave a stone unturned on security issues.

He noted that the nation was on the path to greatness despite the challenges being faced at present.

He called on everyone to get involved in the business of security, stating that it was the business of everybody, “Security is everybody’s business.

He therefore, urged Nigerians and foreigners resident in the country to display a high sense of citizenship and public-spiritedness at this critical time in the history of our country.

This is by supporting the efforts of all security agencies in bringing peace and security of lives and property of the citizenry.
