Echoes From Dapo Abiodun’s New Year Message At 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.


A major service road in Abeokuta would receive immediate attention, the road is Isale-Ake, Oke-Jigbo and Ijaye road

This was contained in Governor Dapo’s speech during the Special Church Service of the 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, at the Cathedral Church of St. Peter, Ake, Abeokuta on Sunday, 9th of January, 2022.

The Provost, Reverend Isaac Adeniji had earlier in his sermon appealed to Ogun State Helmsman to give priority attention to the utility road, which had drastically been creating traffic congestion at the Sapon area, going to Oke-Mosan, Idi-Aba and other roads

Reverend Adeniji appealed to the Governor to restore the tower security lights at the Ake roundabout to stop robberies and other criminal activities in the area.

He noted that, the light had been off for some time, adding that, if the light could be resuscitated, Marauders would find it difficult to operate in the area

The Reverend also expressed gratitude on the street lights, that was placed from Oke-Mosan, down to Inter-change area.

In his remarks, the Bishop, Church of Nigeria (Egba Anglican Communion), Right Reverend Oludaisi Adekunle announced to the congregation at the service that, Governor Abiodun had sent a message to him, ensuring that, Engineers and Experts would be sent to assess the roads soonest, with a view to making the roads functional and passable again.

Reverend Adekunle thanked, the Governor profusely, adding that, the link road, Isale-Ake Oke-Jigbo and Ijaye would go a long way in removing serious traffic jam, most especially at the Sapon area of Abeokuta.
