Information management is germane in bridging the communication gap between government and the people through effective dissemination of government’s programmes and policies.
Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor on Media, Hon. Remmy Hazzan, stated this during a meeting with management of the Ministry of Information and Strategy, at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, noting that all hands must be on deck to ensure that a robust relationship exist for smooth governance.
Hon. Hazzan said Governor Dapo Abiodun led administration’s drive was to leave the State better than it was met, urging the management and staff to key into the “Building Our Future Together” mantra.
He assured staffers in the Ministry of providing needed tools to work and commended them for their diligence, saying, “I have seen an array of staff who are willing to give their best to see that the mandate of the Governor is met”.
Speaking with journalists after the meeting, the Special Adviser disclosed that plans were in top gear to ensure that the Governor, on regular basis feature on radio and television programmes, to interact with the people of the State, noting that the present administration believes in effective feedback mechanism.
He added that the media team would also be having interactive sessions with the press, assuring that the people of the State would enjoy dividends of democracy under Dapo Abiodun led government.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Abiodun Awere, said the agency was ready to work harmoniously with the media team to achieve government’s desired goals.
