One major core intention of the Egba Economic Summit is to completely eradicate poverty among its younger and restive generations in Egbaland.
To achieve this, the Group had held several Talk-Shops to fashion out an enduring system whereby School Leavers from the Secondary level all through the various Tertiary Institutions should acquire basic skills leading to an enduring and transferrable Entrepreneurship.
The EES (Egba Economic Summit) therefore recently decided to put into concrete reality its dreams of empowerment of the Egba youth and perhaps the economically vulnerable class in the area.
It was to these end that a Four-Man delegation led by Doctor Tayo Apampa visited the Federal Technical Incubation Centre at Onijanganjangan near Obada-Oko, Abeokuta.
The Other Members of the delegations were; Chief Roberts, Chief Bayo Karouwi and Mrs Oladipo Abimbola.
Doctor Tayo Apampa informed the Incubation Centre Manager Dr.John Oni, that the Egba Economic Summit was ready to work in full partnership with the centre to realize its vision of skills acquisitions and the entrepreneurship training in such a way that it will take away from the streets jobless youths including graduates
Receiving the delegates,the Centre Manager, Dr.John Oni, disclosed that facilities at the centre were capable of creating wealth for virtually everybody with a skill and calling.
Doctor Oni disclosed the facilities in the centre included Market Research Survey, Feasibility Study, Equipment Design/Fabrication, and Entrepreneur Development
Others were, Product Development,Capacity Building Development, Linkages With Universities and Polytechnics.
The Centre Manager also inform the Delegates that there was an an extensive industrial pack which could transform any State in an Industrial Giant.
Dr Oni urged the Egba Economic Summit not to allow this opportunity slip as it was in line with their dream of Greater Egbaland.
The Chairman of the Federal Technical Incubation Centre Advisory Committee, Olootu Layi Labode, was also around to explain the values the Center would add to the aspiration of the Egba Economic Summit to create wealth in Egbaland among the generality of the Egbas
The Current Chairman of the Egba Economic Summit, Chief Tunji Sumonu, is due to pay an official visit to the Federal Technical Incubation Centre tomorrow (Tuesday 22, 2016).
A source close to both FTIC at Onijanganjangan, and Egba Economic Summit said that Chief Tunji Sumonu was asked by the Apampa led Delegation that earlier visited the Centre, to also have an on the spot assessment with a view to the Summit taking a foresighted decision on an enduring system to empower Egba Youth and other indigenes.
