The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo has again congratulated the entire Egba Muslims for the successful inauguration and turbaning of the new Chief Imam of Egbaland, Sheikh Sa’adallah Bamigbola.
Oba Gbadebo made the remarks on Friday, July 31st, 2020, at the Ake Palace, during this year’s Sallah homage courtesy visit by the Chief Imam and some Egba Muslim leaders.
The Egba Paramount Monarch also commended the Egba Muslim Community for their unity, love, and steadfastness in the promotion of healthy Islamic culture for the younger generations.
Speaking earlier, the Grand Imam of Egbaland, Sheikh Sa’adallah Bamigbola, said that the Alake had always been collaborative with Muslims in Egbaland, adding that he had played a vital role in supporting the immediate past Imam concerning the Islamic affairs in the nation.
He further prayed that the Egba Monarch would live long to achieve greater development and prosperity in Egbaland.
Delivering a sermon at the occasion, Mufasir of Egbaland, Alhaji Taofeek Amolegbe, pointed out that Eid Celebration is a symbol of unity and love, and he thanked the Alake for his efforts and cooperation with Egba Muslims towards the development of Islamic practices.
He added that despite the fact that there is an ongoing pandemic, Almighty Allah has allowed their plans to work out perfectly and safely.
Sheikh Amolegbe also pointed out that in every bad situation, there’s always something good to look out for, adding that everyone should focus on the positive side of things even during the passing Covid19 era.
He further urged the Traditional Monarchs and those in power to sustain the culture and way of life of the people, adding that the next generation should be aware of how things are done, in order to preserve and uplift the rich Culture of our nation.
The Imam of Gbagura, Prof. Kamar Balogun, when addressing the Alake of Egbaland, noted that Oba Gbadebo was a very religious minded monarch.
He commended the Egba Monarch for being a symbol of unity and steadfastness in the services of Almighty Allah.
The Olu of Olodo was also present at the occasion alongside Egba High Chiefs including the Seriki, Chief Tosin Fadare, and wife; the Aare Baaroyin, Chief Layi Labode, and the Aare Akinrogun, Chief Musbau Babarinsa.
The Egba Apex Imam was accompanied by the BabaAdeen of Egbaland, Chief Rasheed Raji; the Olori Ratibi, Sheikh Daudu Afuape; the Imam of Owu, Alhaji Suleiman Kehinde; the Imam of Gbagura, Prof. Kamar Balogun; the Imam of Oke Ona, Sheikh Nosiru; and the Mufasir of Egbaland, Alhaji Taofeek Amolegbe.
