The Alfa Tafsir, Sheikh Amolegbe has called on the Alake to sustain his love and excellent community leadership of Egbaland.
The Cleric who was delivering a short sermon during this year’s Sallah homage at the Ake Palace, on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. reiterated that the Egba Grand Monarch had endeared himself to the people of Egbaland, resulting in peace, progress and steady prosperity in Egbaland.
Sheikh Amolegbe also lauded the Alake for the widespread respect he commanded among his subjects.
The cleric described Oba Adedotun Gbadebo as God’s chosen leader and prayed for him quoting from chapter 48 of the Holy Quran, the chapter of victory.
The Alake in his response, called on the Egba Muslim leadership to remain united and focused on the those aspects of life beneficial to Muslims and people of other faiths.
Oba Gbadebo recalled that most of high profile Muslim Clerics had stayed and worked in Abeokuta before moving elsewhere.
The Alake noted that their successes in their final destinations was as a result of their good focus and unity of purpose, culminating in good performances.
Oba Gbadebo, who acknowledged and raised God for the good fortune that had come the way of Egbaland and prayed that Allah would continue to strengthen them to achieve more for the glory of Egbaland and beyond.
Delivering the vote of thanks, Chief Rasheed Raji, the BabaAdeen of Egbaland Muslims and Agbaakin of Egbaland, appreciated the Egba Muslim leaders for the internal love and cooperation.
He congratulated the Alake and all Egba citizens and residents for another successful Eid Celebration.
He also commended Hon Dimeji Bankole, for always being supportive.
The BabaAdeen also prayed for Olori Tokunbo Gbadebo that her family would live longer.
